Some photos from the last few days of adventures through the suburbs. I've been working on a lot while trying to maintain good times with the friends. We pre-new years eve partied, took trips to new diners, and wore pretty outfits. All the while I've been planing new paintings, working on a logo for this site!, as well as a possible new lay out, applying for a new job and a few other side projects. I even came up with a list of things I hope to accomplish over my semester off from school. All and all while the last few days have been busy. I've been so happy and thankful and caught up in it all I truly wouldn't change a thing.

Its almost a new year. And as i was looking back through all the posts I have drafted but haven't posted I came across this gem. Which just happens to feel nostalgic to me, the colors, it just makes me feel like I'm wishing for something I can't get back. Which is perfect because on new years eve don't we all feel that way? Your excited for whats coming next but you always look back at the last year and wish for some of those great moments back. Its an entire day devoted to looking a head and back, but never really looking to much at the present. So I propose that tonight while you are all dressed in your glitter or sequins that you live for the night and don't worry about what 2011 was or wasn't, and who cares what 2012 might be. Tonight its just a night to spend with friends and enjoy that time. Because we all need nights like tonight. So take the chance and run with it.

Got a new camera lens for christmas!! Couldn't be more excited about it! And these pictures are proof, its just such a beautiful lens I'm obsessed. Couldn't be happier. Anyway let me introduce you all to my friend Raechel, who is one of the most amazing people I've had the pleasure to meet. And her sense of style, even on days like today where she was just dressed to bum around the house is flawless. It wasn't a crazy exciting day, but it was full of crafting, fashion, food, and laughing. Which if you ask me is all you really need at life. And when its with such a great person as Rae then there really is nothing else needed. I'm going to have to ask her how she made her headband; because I'm in love and want one of my own.

Hope everyone has been having a good start to their holiday seasons!! Honestly I'm stressin' to the max over this Christmas season. I've been making my boy a painting for his gift. But despite all my hard work to have it be done by Christmas I have come to the conclusion this morning, as I sat on my floor re-doing a good portion of the painting because i just couldn't stand what it was I had already created that this will not be done in time. Oh yea and there's the fact that I still have some presents to buy. Oops, fall semester just really me over and I didn't get time till last minute to go shopping! I'm rolling my eyes at myself as I type this all out. Anyway this is me rambling to you all, about nothing really. So look at the outfits I"ve been sporting over the past few weeks. And enjoy your holiday seasons!!

I know many of you have already heard about her. And are hopefully just as obsessed as I am. We talked about Lana a month or so back in my Trendspotting class, and that was when I discovered her brilliance. She is so fresh and artistically inspiring. Everything about her is just so intriguing and I really do feel that she is something we really need in the music industry right now. So if you know her already take another listen and look at her videos. And if you don't well then please take a few minutes and listen to her stuff. Its absolutely incredible.

As I previously discussed in my last post, I recently went to a bunch of gallerias over in Chelsea new york for just a nice afternoon with the boyfriend. Sky and I had a blast while we were over there. And I  was able to snap a bunch of pictures of some beautiful exhibits. All of the gallerias over there are featuring great shows and I highly recommend checking them out if you have the chance! Especially if you are in need of some inspiration, I know that I was and this was truly the extra push I needed to finish making Sky's Christmas present.

I know this wasn't a fashion post. But I believe art and fashion go hand in hand so therefore I find this to be very relevant.

After visiting the current exhibit at the Gladestone Galleries (west 21st street between 10th and 11th ave), I started reading through many of my favorite fashion blogs, and started to see these big overally exuberant jewels being used in fashion. It was a small detail i would have over looked if it hadn't been for the visit to the exhibition earlier that day.

So I'm so sorry  I haven't been keeping up with regular blogging on here. Its been crazy, I'm caught up in finals. And if i have posted on here i haven't even written anything its just been a random picture or two. But after this week things are going to get serious on this blog. I promise.

Anyway above is the start to one of my finals. The rest of which i will post later on, the assignment is to look at the art world and create a fashion forecast for spring/summer 2013. So above I have shown the images i used for color inspiration for the color story of the forecast.
